Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

  1. This agreement establish the terms and conditions of Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd., tax number 513 541314, Tourism of Portugal registration: RNAAT 465 / 2015 and RNAVT 7104.
  2. Our activity is based on the Historical, Cultural, Scenic and Gastronomic aspects, showing a multifaceted Portugal, full of rich influences that have created a unique essence. We position ourselves in the market as a company that shows Portuguese soul and provides tourists a complete and personalized experience.
  3. Special Conditions prevail over General Terms; additional stipulations agreed between the Client and Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. take precedence over both.

The services and products are offered to Customers under the Terms and Conditions expressed in this document.

By making a booking for a Tour/Circuit participants warrant that they have read these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them and all other terms (and conditions referred to in Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. brochures, advertisements and website).

  1. Obligations and User Responsibilities

By using or visiting the website with the domain www.essenciadalatitude.com (the information, data files, written text, graphics, links, audio and sound files, photos, videos and other images, features and services available) the user, either as a participant or a visitor, agrees and accept with the terms of use and data protection policy on this site.

This site is owned by Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

Under no circumstances should the user use this site for any other purposes than the purposes established on it. Use for illegal purposes or any other purpose that might be considered prejudicial to the company’s image are totally prohibited. It is also expressly prohibited plagiarism and falsification. These are listed crimes and, for that, punished by law.

You shall not create or place on the site any viruses.

  1. Intellectual property

The images of the site are property of www.essenciadalatitude.com, Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

You may not modify, rent, loan, sell, distribute or create any derivative work of Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. site content, partially or fully, except with the written consent of the company.

  1. Tours

Tours are made by Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

All tours and services offered by Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. are valid as the information displayed. Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. is not responsible for any information that hasn’t been provided directly.

Tours are conducted in different vehicles (car or van) depending on the number of people to carry.

Our tours include what is set in the respective page on the Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.  website.

  1. Prices

Prices shown by Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. are per person. Prices are based on local fare and are subject to change at the initiative of Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

Prices do not include entrance fees to museums, shows or meals, with few exceptions, the latter being clearly indicated in the respective page of the tour.

The prices quoted in Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. site already reflect the value added tax (VAT) at the current rate.

  1. Payment and Reservation Policy

Payment can be made through Paypal (Visa, Mastercard and Debit Card), a secure session (Visa, Mastercard and Debit Card), or Wire Transfer, sending the respective proof.

The reservation of One-Day and Half-Day tours must be done at least 24 hours prior to its realization. Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. does not guarantee availability for reservations made in the period of 24 hours prior to the tour.

The reservation of Circuits must be done at least 30 days prior to its realization. Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. does not guarantee availability for reservations made in the period of 30 days prior to the tour.

To guarantee the reservation of one or more tours is required the payment of 100% of the service.

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. reserves the right to consider void any reservation which payment has not been made under the above conditions.

Budgets for Tailor Made Tours or circuits have expiration date of 15 days. After that time, the price can suffer several changes.

After booking and payment the Customer will receive a voucher at the email address indicated by him during registration.

9. Special Conditions for Children

Given the diversity of conditions applied to children, depending on the age, we recommend Clients to question the special conditions that may exist, depending on the situation.Children under 16 must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians and provided with all documentation required by law.

Minors between 16 and 18 years traveling alone will need to, in addition to documentation of identification, an authorization given by the parents or legal guardians allowing them to leave / enter Portugal according to legal instructions.

  1. Changes/Cancellations by Latitude’s Essence Initiative

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. can change the conditions set out in the program, namely the order of the routes, the departure times or substitute any of the accommodations provided by other similar category and location.

If unforeseen circumstances force them to suspend/cancel any tours, customers will be entitled to reimbursement.

Are excluded from reimbursements the costs already incurred by Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd.

11. Impossibility of Compliance 

Towards the impossibility of fulfilling the essential services constant in the tour program, by facts not attributable to Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd., the Customer has the right to give up the trip and to be immediately refunded of the paid amounts or, alternatively, to accept a different service and the respective price change.

If such facts not attributable to Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. may determine the cancellation of the trip, the Customer can choose to participate in another trip accepting an amendment to the contract and the respective price change.

When the replacement is followed by a lower price, the customer will be refunded with the difference.

It is not due any reimbursement for services which the Customer choose not to use, although they are at Customer’s disposal.

12. Changes/Cancellations Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. Initiative

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the package if the number of participants is less than the minimum required. In these cases, the customer will be informed in writing at least 8 days in advance for Circuits and 48 hours in advance for One-Day and Half-Day tours, leaving Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. exonerated from any responsibility for the cancellation.

Some monuments are closed on certain days of the week. The company avoids the realization of tours these days. However, the monuments may terminate without notice or the tour be performed during holidays in which monuments can be closed and it is not, therefore, secured entry in museums these days.

  1. Changes/Cancellations by Client Initiative

For any change, at Clients request, Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. reserves the right to charge a fee of until 15% of the total amount of the tour.

For One-Day and Half-Day tours the request for changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled tour.

For Circuits the request for changes must be made at least 30 days in advance of the scheduled tour.

At all times Customers can give up the tour by written communication, having the right to the return of the paid amounts according tour Cancellation Policy terms (number 14).

If the change request is made in a tour that is subject of a promotional campaign, discount or offer price, Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. may invalidate the promotion, discount or offer price.

  1. Cancellation Policy


  1. a) Cancellation communications for One-Day and Half-Day tours
  • Up to 4 weeks: 25 % of the price
  • 28 to 10 days: 50 % of the price
  • 9 to 5 days: 80 % of the price
  • 4 to 1 day: 100 % of the price
  • No-show: 100 % of the price


  1. b) Cancellation communications for Circuits
  • Up to 2 months: 25 % of the price
  • 45 days: 50 % of the price
  • 30 days: 100 % of the price
  • No-show: 100 % of the price

There will be no place for refund of the amounts pay by the Customer for expenses necessary and already made for the confirmation of the tours/circuits.

  1. Claims

We will only consider written claims.

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. will not accept claims related with external matters not directly connected with the company, for example delays caused by weather conditions, traffic, mechanical malfunctions, road accidents, delays caused by other customers, police operations, etc.

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. will not be responsible for forgetfulness of personal documents or any objects left in the vehicles.

Every conflict will be solved according to the Portuguese Law by the Lisbon County Courthouse, expressly rejecting any other.

  1. Insurance

As required by law, article 35 of Decree 199/2012 of 24 August, the activities of Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. are covered by aa Civil Liability Insurance and a Personal Accident Insurance.

  • Civil Liability Insurance – Policy 8105606 – Lusitânia, Companhia de Seguros SA, Rua S. Domingos à Lapa 35, 1249-130 Lisboa.
  • Personal Accident Insurance – Policy 11092803 – Vitória, Seguros SA, Edifício Victória, Av. Da Liberdade, 200, 1250-147 Lisboa.

17. Diet

BB (Bed & Breakfast) – only Breakfast;

MP (HB) – includes breakfast and dinner. Drinks are not included;

PC (full board) – includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are not included;

All-inclusive – includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks such as water, juices and wine. Inclusions may be more comprehensive or restricted by the destination and the hotel chain.

You should confirm with Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. the inclusion of all-inclusive relating to your booking.

Any Customer-specific application for meals is always dependent on the supplier’s confirmation and may involve the payment of a supplement.

On trips organized in half board or full board are not included meals that match the flying hours, with transportation to and from the airport or, or waiting for flight connections

18. Accommodation and Time

The group, classification and accommodation description are determined by the host State. The list of hotels and apartments contained in the program is indicative, as well as their category.

Regarding accommodation are applied the following special rules:

Apartments: is entirely Clients responsibility to inform the number of people (adults and children) who will occupy the apartment. In case of presenting more people than reserved, the reservation may be canceled and the accommodation may refuse entry.

Hotels: prices quoted are per person and are based on double room occupancy. Not all hotels have triple room and are, therefore, placed in a double room an extra bed, which may not be of identical quality and comfort. In the case of rooms with two large beds and double beds, it is considered that, in most cases, triple consists only of these two beds.

Time: normally rooms can be used from 2 pm, in the day of arrival, and must be left free before 12 am, in the day of departure. In the apartments, the input generally occurs at 5pm, in the day of arrival, and they must be free before 10 am of departure date. Key collection is usually done within the office working normal hours, at the reception, in place indicated by the Agency.

Time Transport: You shall present yourself 10 minutes before the stated time.

19. Privacy Policy

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. privacy policy complies with the law 67 / 98 of October 26 on the protection of personal data, which transposed into Portuguese law the Directive 95 /46 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995.

All personal data are processed lawfully and only for certain purposes, including reservations and billing, and all operations necessary for our tours reservations.

The Customer’s personal data will not be shared with third parties except in situations where we have to resort to business services and only if that data sharing is absolutely necessary to complete the requested activity.

  1. Communications

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. sends to its Customers emails with information of promotions, new products or other information that might be interesting or informative. If a Customer does not wish to receive this information must cancel the registration on Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. website.

  1. Closing days

Latitude’s Essence, Tourism Ltd. is closed on December 25th, January 1st and Easter Day.
