A nine days circuit that allows you to discover Portugal in all its charm and monumentality. Discover its cities, landscapes, and treasures declared UNESCO Sites. The main cities, the most emblematic villages and each region’s ex-libris will be visited. Get to know the cultural diversity of the country, traveling from North to South. Guided visits will be made inside the monuments. Enjoy, also, all the tastings that will help you discover Portuguese gastronomy.

There is the possibility of choosing between 4* or 5* hotels, all of them of high quality and great charm, adjusting the tour final price. There will be a full time trip leader, that will provide all the historical and cultural information. The tour will be made, with all the comfort, in a tourism luxury vehicle. The tour is made from Lisbon, with personalized pick-up and drop-off.

Day 1:

Transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Day 2:

Lisbon

The day starts with a visit to the Castle of S. Jorge. Then you head to one of Europe’s oldest neighborhoods, the iconic Alfama.

Free time for lunch.

During the afternoon we will take you to visit Baixa, Chiado, Avenida da Liberdade, Bairro Alto and Príncipe Real. A visit will be made to the Lisbon Story Center and the S. Roque Museum and Church. During the tour there will be an offer of homemade chocolate and coffee.

Day 3:

Lisbon

During the morning visit Parque das Nações, the most modern district of Lisbon. Visit to the Lisbon Oceanarium, considered the best oceanarium in the world.

Free time for lunch.

Visit to the Tile Museum. Visit to Belém, the most monumental district of Lisbon, to the Jerónimos Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage), Belém Tower (UNESCO World Heritage) and “Casa dos Pastéis de Belém”.

Optional: Dinner at a typical restaurant with Fado Show (UNESCO Culture Heritage).

Day 4:

Sintra/Cabo da Roca/Cascais

Departure towards the Serra and Vila de Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage). Visit to the Pena Palace, the ultimate exponent of Portuguese Romanticism. Walk through the village of Sintra. It will be offered a “travesseiro”, a traditional cake. Possibility to visit the National Palace of Sintra (optional).

Free time for lunch.

During the afternoon visit “Cabo da Roca”, the westernmost point of Europe. You will stop at Guincho and Boca do Inferno to enjoy the scenery. Finally, we will take you to visit the town of Cascais and its historical center.

Day 5:

Óbidos/ Alcobaça/Nazaré/Coimbra

Departure towards Óbidos, a medieval walled village, one of the most beautiful in Europe. During the tour in the village, will be offered a “ginjinha” tasting, a regional liquor. Afterwards, there will be a visit to the Monastery of Alcobaça, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Free time for lunch.

Visit to Nazaré and to the beach of the giant waves. Departure towards Coimbra. Visit to the University of Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Optional: Coimbra’s Fado Show.

Day 6:

Oporto/Guimarães

Departure towards the city of Oporto, where there will be a visit to the Historic Centre, World Heritage Site. Visit to the Clérigos Tower, the Lello Bookstore and the Bolsa Palace.

Free time for lunch.

During the afternoon a boat trip will take place at the mouth of Douro River, in a traditional boat. Afterwards, a visit will be made to the Oporto Wine cellars, where will be offered a guided tour and a wine tasting.

Day 7:

Guimarães/Fátima

Departure towards Guimarães, UNESCO World Heritage, and visit to the Historic Centre, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança and the medieval Castle.

Free time for lunch.

Departure towards Fatima for a visit to the Sanctuary and to the houses of the Shepards.

Day 8:

Évora e Arrábida

Departure towards Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There will be a visit to the city highlights: the Historic Centre, the Roman Temple, the Cathedral and the Bones Chapel.

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon there will be a wine and olive oil tasting, at a local farm. The return to Lisbon will be made by the idyllic Arrábida Sierra and Setúbal bay, with passage through the peninsula of Troia.

Optional: Dinner at an old rehabilitated factory.

Day 9:

Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
