1. Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
This agreement establishes the terms and conditions of Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda, tax number 513 541 314, registration numbers RNAAT 465 / 2015 and RNAVT 7104 for Tourism of Portugal.
Our business relies on the Historical and Cultural aspects of Portugal. The coutry we show is a multifaceted one, full of rich influences and with a unique essence. We position ourselves in the market as a Portuguese brand that shows Portugal’s soul and provides tourists with a complete and personalized experience.
Special Conditions prevail over General Terms. Additional stipulations agreed between the Client and Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda take precedence over both.The services and products are offered to Customers under the Terms and Conditions expressed in this document.
By making a booking for a Tour/Tourist Circuit participants warrant that they have read these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them and all other terms and conditions referred to in Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda brochures, advertisements and website.
2. Obligations and User Responsibilities
By using or visiting the website with the domain www.essenciadalatitude.com (the information, data files, written text graphics, links, audio and sound files, photos, videos and other images, features and services available) the user, either as a participant or a visitor, agrees and accept with the terms of use and data protection policy on this site.
This site is owned by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
Under no circumstances should the user use this website for any other purposes than the purposes established on it. The use for illegal purposes or any other purpose that might be considered prejudicial to the company’s image are totally prohibited. It is also expressly prohibited plagiarism and falsification. These are listed crimes and, for this reason, punished by law.
You shall not create or place on the site any viruses.
3. Intellectual property
The images of the site www.essenciadalatitude.com are property of Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
You may not modify, rent, loan, sell, distribute or create any derivative work of Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda website content, partially or fully, except with the written consent of the company.
4. Tours
All Tours/Tourist Circuits in this website are created by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
All tours and services offered by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda are valid according to the information displayed. Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda is not responsible for any information that hasn’t been provided directly.
Tours are conducted in different vehicles (car or van) depending on the number of people to carry.
Our Tours/Tourist Circuits include what is set in the respective page, on the Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda website.
5. Prices
The prices shown by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. are per person. Prices are based on local fare and can be modified by Essência de Latitude, Turismo Lda.
Prices do not include entrance fees to museums, shows or meals, except if expressly provided otherwise in the respective page of the Tour/Tourist Circuit.
The prices quoted on the Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. website already reflect the value added tax (VAT) at the current rate.
6. Payment and Reservation Policy
Payment is made in a secure session on the Essência da Latitude website, by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or debit card, or Wire Transfer, after which the receipt will be sent.
The reservation of One-Day and Half-Day tours must be done, at least, 24 hours prior to its realization. Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda does not guarantee availability for reservations made in the period of 24 hours prior to the tour.
The reservation of Circuits must be done, at least, 30 days prior to its realization. Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda does not guarantee availability for reservations made in the period of 30 days prior to the tour.
To guarantee the booking of one or more Tours/Tourist Circuits is necessary the payment of 100% of the service.
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. reserves the right to consider voiding any reservation that has not been paid under the above conditions.
Budgets for Tailor-Made Tours have an expiration date of 15 days. After this period the price may be subject to a number of changes.
After booking and payment, the Customer will receive a voucher at the email adress provided by them when registering.
7. Special Conditions for Children
Given the diversity of conditions applied to children, depending on their age, we recommend Clients to refer special conditions that may exist.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians and provided with all documentation required by law.
Minors between 16 and 18 years traveling alone will need to, in addition to documentation of identification, an authorization given by the parents or legal guardians, allowing them to leave/enter Portugal according to legal instructions.
8. Changes/Cancellations by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
Essência de Latitude, Turismo Lda can change the conditions set out in the program, namely the order of the routes, the departure times or substitute any of the accommodations provided by other similar category and location.
If unforeseen circumstances force Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda to suspend/cancel any Tour/Tourist Circuit, customers will be entitled to reimbursement.
Are excluded from reimbursements the costs already incurred by Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda.
9. Impossibility of Compliance
Towards the impossibility of fulfilling the essential services indicated in the tour program, by facts not attributable to Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda, the Customer has the right to give up the trip and to be immediately refunded of the paid amounts or, alternatively, to accept a different service and the respective price change.
If such facts not attributable to Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda may determine the cancellation of the trip, the Customer can choose to participate in another trip, accepting an amendment to the contract and the respective price change.
When the replacement is followed by a lower price, the customer will be refunded with the difference.
It is not due any reimbursement for services which the Customer choose not to use, although they are at Customer’s disposal.
10. Changes/Cancellations Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. Initiative
Essência de Latitude, Turismo Lda reserves the right to cancel the package if the number of participants is less than the minimum required. In these cases, the customer will be informed in writing at least 8 days in advance for Tourist Circuits and 24 hours in advance for One-Day and Half-Day Tours, leaving Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda exonerated from any responsibility for the cancellation.
Certain monuments are closed on specific days of the week or during holidays, and may close unexpectedly without any warning. Essência da Latitude will inform Customers of this situation, but it will not be responsible in any of these circumstances.
11. Changes/Cancellations by Client Initiative
For any change, at the Clients request, Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda reserves the right to charge a fee of up to 15% of the total amount of the tour.
For One-Day and Half-Day tours, requests for changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled tour.
For Tourist Circuits, requests for changes must be made at least 30 days in advance of the scheduled tour.
At any time, Customers can cancel the Tour by written communication. In this situation Customers are entitled to a refund of paid amounts, according to the tour Cancellation Policy terms.
If the change request is made in a tour that is subject of a promotional campaign, discount or offer price, Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda may invalidate the promotion, discount or offer price.
12. Cancellation Policy
a) Cancellation communications for One-Day and Half-Day tours:
If the customer cancels at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled departure they’ll receive a 97% refund. If the customer cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled departure they’ll receive a 0% refund.
No-show is not refundable.
b) Cancellation communications for Tailor Made Tours:
If the customer cancels at least up to 5 working days before the scheduled departure they’ll receive a 90% refund. If the customer cancels within 5 business days prior to the scheduled date, they will receive a 0% refund.
No-show is not refundable.
There will be no place for a refund of the amounts paid by the Customer for necessary expenses already made for the confirmation of the Tour.
b) Cancellation communications for Circuits:
Up to 2 months – 25 % of the price;
45 days – 50 % of the price;
30 days – 100 % of the price;
No-show – 100 % of the price;
There will be no place for a refund of the amounts paid by the Customer for necessary expenses already made for the confirmation of the Tour.
13. Claims
Essência da Latitude will only consider written claims.
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda will not accept claims related with external matters not directly connected with the company, for example, delays caused by weather conditions, traffic, mechanical malfunctions, road accidents, delays caused by other customers, police operations, etc.
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda will not be responsible for forgetfulness of personal documents or any objects left in the vehicles.
Every conflict will be solved according to the Portuguese Law by the Lisbon County Courthouse, expressly rejecting any other.

14. Insurance
As required by law, by the Decree 08/2009, of 15 of May, in the format given by the Decree 95/2013, of 19 of July and by the Decree 186/2015 of 3 of September, the activities of Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda, as a business company of Touristic Animation, are covered by a Civil Liability Insurance and a Personal Accident Insurance.

As required by law, the activities of Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. as Tour Agency are covered by a Civil Liability Insurance.

15. Diet
BB (Bed & Breakfast) – only Breakfast;
MP (HB) – includes breakfast and dinner. Drinks are not included;
PC (full board) – includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are not included;
All-inclusive – includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks such as water, juices and wine. Inclusions may be more comprehensive or restricted by the destination and the hotel chain.
Any Customer-specific application for meals is always dependent on the supplier’s confirmation and may involve the payment of a supplement.
On trips organized in half board or full board are not included meals that match the flying hours, with transportation to and from the airport, or waiting for flight connections.
16. Accommodation and Time
The group, classification and accommodation description are determined by the host State. The list of hotels and apartments contained in the program is indicative, as well as their category.
Regarding accommodation are applied the following special rules:
Apartments: is entirely Clients responsibility to inform the number of people (adults and children) who will occupy the apartment. In case of presenting more people than reserved, the reservation may be canceled and the accommodation may refuse entry.
Hotels: prices quoted are per person and are based on double room occupancy. Not all hotels have triple room and are, therefore, placed in a double room an extra bed, which may not be of identical quality and comfort. In the case of rooms with two large beds and double beds, it is considered that, in most cases, triple consists only of these two beds.
Time: normally rooms can be used from 2 pm, in the day of arrival, and must be left free before 12 am, in the day of departure. In the apartments, the input generally occurs at 5pm, in the day of arrival, and they must be free before 10 am of departure date. Key collection is usually done within the office working normal hours, at the reception, in place indicated by the Agency.
Time Transport: You shall present yourself 10 minutes before the stated time.
17. Privacy Policy
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. does not store personal data.
All personal data are processed lawfully and only for reservations, billing service and the required operations for our Tours/Tourist Circuits reservations.
The Customer’s personal data will not be shared with third parties, except in situations when we have to use services rendered by other companies and only if that data sharing is absolutely necessary to complete the requested activity.
18. Communications
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda only sends to its Customers the necessary emails for additional clarifications, to book/accomplish the tours. Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. doesn’t keep any registration of personal data on the Agency website.
19. Closing days
Essência da Latitude, Turismo Lda. is closed on December 24th, 25th and 31st, January 1st and Easter Day.
